It occurs in the tissues of the bladder which hollow, flexible pouch in the pelvis to urine. This has three types.

Transitional cell carcinoma: Which arises in the transitional cells in the inner layer of the bladder. Squamous cell carcinoma: Which arises when thin, flat squamous cells form in the bladder after a long-term infection or irritation in the bladder.

Adenocarcinoma: Which arises when glandular cells form in the bladder after long-term bladder irritation and inflammation.

Treatment options:

Surgery: During this procedure, the doctor removes the cancerous tissue.

Chemotherapy: It uses high doses through veins and injections for treatment purpose.

Reconstruction: This is done to create a new way for urination after bladder removal.

Radiation therapy: It uses high-energy beams to kill the cancerous cells.

Immunotherapy: It is done to trigger the immune system to fight back against the cancerous cells.
