Details of Femto-LASIK

It is a refractive surgery to correct the vision problems such as poor vision and to get rid of glasses and contact lenses. It uses two types of lasers.

First, an ultra-fast femtosecond laser is used to create a thin flap in the cornea.

Second, an excimer laser is used to reshape the underlying corneal tissue to correct the vision.

During the procedure, the doctor performs this with the help of and instrument called a femtosecond laser to create a thin flap in the cornea. The doctor painlessly peels back and the underlying corneal tissue is reshaped using another laser to focus onto the retina.

• Vision loss
• Glare, halos and double vision
• Undercorrections
• Overcorrections
• Flap problems

• Incomplete flap
• Flap dislocation
• Flap striae
• Epithelial ingrowth
