Vertebroplasty is a method in which bone cement is used to stabilise and harden fractures of the vertebrae. It is considered to be more effective and lasting than traditional treatment.

Vertebroplasty is an outpatient surgery during which surgeons inject a special mixture of cement directly into the fractured back bone to seal the crack and provide a layer of protection within the damaged bone. In most cases, the patient is given light sedation and discharged on the same day.
