Details of Testicular Torsion Surgery

Testicular torsion is a condition in which the cord that carries blood to the testicles known as the spermatic cord gets twisted, resulting in disruption of blood flow and death of tissues inside the testicles.

Swollen/red scrotum

Blood in semen
Lump-like formation on testicles

During surgery, the surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum and untangles the cord, restoring blood flow to the testicles. Tiny stitches are used to hold the testicles in place inside the scrotum to prevent twisting of the spermatic cord again.
