Spinal cord injury is often serious and has a long-term impact on almost all aspects of life. As the spinal cord consists of several nerves, tissues and bones, any trauma to it can affect sensation and movement.

Physical examination

Imaging tests: X-ray, CT scan, MRI

Physiotherapy: Depending on the extent of injury, physiotherapy helps in stabilizing the spine and realigning it.

Surgery: If the injury to the spine is severe, surgery becomes necessary to remove small bone fragments and other foreign objects, and prevent loss of shape and deformity of the spine.
