Shoulder arthroscopy is a surgical technique in which a medical device fitted with a camera is used to examine tissues surrounding the shoulder joint for necessary treatment.

During shoulder arthroscopy, a small incision is made through which the medical device with a tiny camera (called arthroscope) is inserted to examine tissues, bones, cartilage and ligaments. The damage is then repaired or fixed with medical instruments.
