It is a procedure to change the shape, position or size of the ears.

• One or both ears may stick too far from the head.
• Ears may be large in proportion to head.

Physical examination

During the procedure, the surgeon will make incisions on the back of your ears to remove excess cartilage and skin and then folds the cartilage into the proper position and secure it with internal stitches.

• Scarring. Although scars are likely to be hidden behind ears in the creases of ears.
• Asymmetry. During healing changes may occur.
• Changes in skin sensation. These are rarely permanent.
• Overcorrection. May create unnatural contours that make ears look pinned back.
