Tooth extraction, as the name suggests, is the procedure to pull out one or more teeth for a variety of conditions or sometimes as a preemptive measure prior to certain surgeries.

During the extraction, the dentist uses medical tools to loosen the tooth before pulling it out with forceps. In more complex cases, a small incision is made in the gum and bone around the tooth is removed or the tooth is cut before extraction.
