In endoscopic sinus surgery, the doctor uses an endoscope and tiny surgical instruments to open the blocked passage and restore natural drainage. The endoscope is inserted into the nose to provide the doctor an inside view of the sinuses. Surgical instruments are inserted alongside the endoscope.
