Details of Dental Bone Grafting

Bone grafting is a technique required when a patient does not have the bare minimum amount of healthy natural bones in their mouth that could support dental implants. In this surgical procedure, bone tissue is repaired, or rebuilt, via transplantation. A missing tooth causes bone loss. An infected socket, or even that the shed tooth could be the wrong shape to make way for an immediate replacement. The alveolar bone atrophies if there is no tooth to support, so it is often necessary to do a bone graft before doing a tooth implant.
