It is a procedure which is performed when you have very difficult and severe of situation artery stenosiswhere carotid endarterectomy is not possible. In which a minor balloon is inserted with the help of a tiny tube called catheter into the diseased area where the balloon is inflated to open the artery and a stent is placed to prevent any kind of blockage and narrowing.
