It is gastrointestinal slow-growing cancer. It is from the family of neuroendocrine tumors which generally grow in the digestive tract or lung at a gradual pace. This type of cancers is very rare.

May include:

• Breathlessness
• Chest pain
• Diarrhea
• Wheezing
• Skin flushing
• Weight gain

May include:

• Abnormal cell growth
• Normal cells' death

May be recommended:

• Blood tests
• Urine tests
• Tissue tests
• Imaging tests like PET, MRI & CT

Treatment options:

Surgery: If detected early, it can be removed completely with the help surgery.

Medication:

• It can be treated by the drugs which block cancer cells from secreting hormones.
• It can be treated by the drugs which deliver radiation directly to the cancer cells.

If this cancer has spread to the liver:

• Liver surgery. This surgery is performed to remove the diseased part of the liver which is also called hepatic resection.
• Blockage of blood supply to tumor can be done.
• Radiofrequency ablation can be started to kill the cancer cells.
