- Dr Deepak Govil is an eminent and accomplished Surgical Gastroenterologist with more than 37 years of experience.
- His areas of expertise Hypertension, Splenectomy and Lieno-renal shunts, Ilio-anal Anastomosis with a pouch for Ulcerative colitis, Esophageal resection with Gastric pull-up, Whipple’s Pancreato-Duodenectomy, and Hepaticojejunostomy for Biliary strictures and benign and malignant obstructive jaundice, etc.
- He completed his graduation in 1983 and post-graduation in 1986 from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
- He did a Post Doctoral Course (PhD) in GI Surgery from 1992 to 1995 from AIIMS.
- He is a member of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES), the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), etc.
- He has performed approx. 1000 operations related to liver and Gastrointestinal Surgery including Laparoscopic surgery.
