• Dr Mukut Minz is a well-known and highly skilled Renal Transplant Surgeon with more than 41 years of experience.
• His areas of expertise Kidney and Pancreas Transplant (live and cadaver), Multiorgan Retrieval Transplant from a cadaver, Dialysis access procedures (AV fistulas/PTFE vascular grafts for hemodialysis), Vascular surgery (including Shunt surgery for portal hypertension), Kidney transplant in the abnormal bladder (ileal conduit/augmentation cystoplasty), Transplant immunosuppression, etc.
• He completed his MBBS from Sambalpur University, Odisha in 1980 and MS - General Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1982.
• He received advanced training in cadaver organ retrieval and transplantation at various centres/universities in Norway, Sweden, Germany and the USA.
• He set up a new department of Renal Transplant Surgery in PGI and performed over 3,300 kidney transplants. 
• He got numerous awards such as the Odisha Gaurav Samman award for his exemplary work in the field of transplantation, Prof RVS Yadav Memorial Oration at XVIIIth Annual Conference of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, etc.
• He has trained over 30 transplant surgeons, many of whom are holding academic positions in India, the US, the UK and Australia.
