• Dr Bharat V Shah is a well-experienced and well-known Nephrologist with an rch experience of more than 42 years.
• His areas of expertise are Diabetic Nephropathy, Prevention and early detection of chronic kidney disease, and Hypertensive kidney disease.
• He completed his MBBS from the University Of Bombay in 1980, MD - Medicine from the University Of Bombay in 1982 and DNB - Nephrology from the National Board Of Examination in 1984.
• He subsequently proceeded to the United States, where he completed a clinical fellowship in nephrology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Centre and a clinical research fellowship at the New England Medical Centre in Boston. 
• He is the founder member and managing trustee of NGOs and was a former adviser for Central India Kidney Foundation, Medical Adviser to J.N. Tata Endowment, and Oswal Welfare Charitable Trust.
• He is President of the Indian Society of Nephrology, West Zone and General Secretary of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee, Mumbai.
• He has published a number of articles in national and international journals and often attends conferences and CMEs.
