- Dr Kameshwar Prasad is well known and highly experienced Neurologist with an experience of over 40 years.
- His areas of expertise are stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory problem, epilepsy, headache, multiple sclerosis, meningitis, Parkinson's disease brain TB, acute and chronic neuropathies including Guillain Barre syndrome, spinal muscular atrophies and muscular dystrophies.
- He has done MBBS, MD-General Medicine, DM-Neurology, MMSc and FAMS.
- Beginning in 1997, he contributed to several government of India national programmes and helped establish evidence-based medicine in India.
- He is the Founding President of ‘The Indian stroke society’.
- He has more than 400 publications, including papers, book chapters and books.
- He is a member of the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation, the WHO Meningitis Guidelines Group, the World Stroke Organization and the World Federation of Neurology.
