He has a vast experience in medical field in India and abroad.  He has worked with the Ministry of Health, Sharjah as specialist Neurologist. He established the Department of Neurology at Al Qassimi and Kuwait Hospitals, Sharjah. He relocated to India in 1999 and joined the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. The Neurosciences Division at Amrita was started by him and now has the capability of a tertiary care referral center with ten formally trained neurologists.
