Dr. Appu Thomas is one of the pioneers in the field of urology and renal transplantation. He has worked at Government Medical Colleges including Calicut, Alappuzha, Thrissur and Kottayam and was relieved in 2004 as Professor of Urology and Vice – Principal at Kottayam Medical College. He has a special interest in Urology.

Achievements:

• He has guided 23 MCh urologists so far who are successfully practicing in urology all over the world.
• He had been an examiner in urology, in all South Indian University National Board Exam.
• From 2004 onwards he has been working as Professor at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.
• USI empowered national examiner.
