He is a clinical nephrologist with special interest in chronic kidney disease, kidney transplantation, transplant immunology, research and management. He is one of the leading members of the pioneering team who was instrumental in starting deceased organ transplantation in the state.

He was recently awarded Fellowships from Royal College of Physicians London and Edinburgh.
